I've searched the forums for this one but can't seem to find anything relevant.
My '73 K5 (350/350) has the original "monster" AC brackets which prevent me from going with tall valve covers (and that's just the first problem I've discovered). A friend at the local speed shop advised that I can swap out the OEM brackets for a later model set ( I think he said '83 and up) which are smaller and leave room for modifications. This would also require that I go with the newer/smaller compressor.
Can anyone verify? I'm ready to head to the junk yard!
