My 74 is an ac original truck. all the ac components are there, minus the compressor. I rebuilt the engine and put some vortec heads on it. What bracket do I need? the new style for the smaller round compressor or can I use the original long style compressor? I spent the whole day on junk yard row trying to figure this out. Should have asked here first. thanks guys.....

Ps, the hoses are going to be custom fitted. Just need the bracket and compressor that will work.

no help on this one? I was told that I could use a big block bracket for the old style compressor. is that true?

just the heads. compressor is on the drivers side. I'm really trying to avoid custom brackets.

just find the OE type compressor if all the brackets are there. Im pretty sure the accessory holes in the vortec heads are in the same location as the old heads.
