Check the blend door operations. Make sure it’s closing all the way. We did my A/C with 134, but it works fine. But initially, it was blowing hot air, but cycling fine. It is an adjustable rod, but my clip was flat out missing. Easy to check, right behind the glove box.

A couple things.

Get a different gauge. A gauge with that broad of a range won't be as accurate on the lower end. Also, when you get the new gauge, calibrate it to make sure it's accurate.

Second, I'd replace the condenser if it is original.
