AC compressor on 98 Chevy

Ok, so I have my sisters truck for the next month or so, and I noticed that when you turn the AC on, the clutch doesnt engage. So I go look at it and there are 2 wires going into the clutch area. Dont have a multimeter here at school, so anyone know which wire I need to apply (+) to test if the clutch is gone? Or could it be something else?

If the system has a leak and the freon is low there is a low pressure switch that will not let the clutch engage the compressor.

the system was recently recharged and according to mechanic (who we trust) the system was holding pressure
