Blower went out last week so I replaced it. Now, it still will not come on. I took the blower out and attached it to the power supply to see if was the relay and the fan came on. When I reinstalled it, the fan appears to not be coming on because I feel no air blowing thru the vents. Anything I need to look for? It's getting too cold to ride without heat!

check the fan relay screwed to the evaporator housing?

had to change mine when I traded for my burb...

I plugged the unit to its power supply when I took it out and it worked but doesn't appear to be when install it. I'm wondering if there could be anything to block the air flow.

No, can't really hear it. Do any of you know how much voltage is coming off that relay? I checked it and got 12v whole the switch inside was on high.

May be a dumb question, but u have power, do u have a ground? Ive had several old 80's chevys that just mysterioulsy loose ground. Or maybe some sort of resistor (if there is one)

Heater setup is pretty similar to AC AFAIK, so I hope I'm not speaking out of line.

All wires FROM the heater control head will be 12V. All wires up to the resistor will be 12V. Voltage from resistors to motor is what varies. I believe the relay is the only variation from non-AC setups, and it probably is on the "high" side of the wiring, and provides straight 12V to the fan when the high setting is selected. GM had a problem not running that wire on relay, and the wire connector would eventually melt.

You know the fan works when it receives voltage, you now need to figure out why the fan gets no power, if indeed it's not getting power. Check output from the resistor setup (single wire to motor I believe) on all settings but high.

Edit: I agree, need to know if the motor is turning. But if it's getting power, then you can focus on why it's not turning once in the housing.

anything blocking the fan inside the housing...?

Ok, burnt the new blower after replacing the relay, got a new one with the warranty, and the damn thing still will not work once inside the housing. I'm going to try and figure out why.....if I don't rip it all to hell :)
