I would like to get my AC working at some point, but the Air Handler (is that what its called) has some issues. One of the linkages on top of the box just spins (the red circle). Inside its attached to a plastic manifold of some sort.

Are there replacement parts out there for this box? The flaps seem rather worn and would probably not work correctly unless totally refurbed.

Do I go to a junk yard, or can I get a whole replacement for this box?

That would be a junk yard item. However, you can repair it. I bought some "epoxy for plastic" and glued mine and it works just fine. Only issue is getting it lined up in the correct position. Then the most important part is keep hands off the door! That's what broke it in the first place. Someone tried to "help" it

No they are not! But a few good tools, and a lot of cussing and they come right out.

When you do the repair, be careful of that adjustment rod. Try not to change where it is set from the factory. Use a hand vacuum pump to test operation BEFORE reinstalling.
