Hey guys, another 'help me, i dont know what to do next thread'
Posted this elsewhere, but ive thrown some new parts at it since

Here's the backstory :
Belt ripped apart on me ck5, put a new one in and noticed the 2 connector tabs on top of the AC compressor were about to fall off
(before the belt ripped, my AC and heater both worked fine)
Pulled the connector off to clean and put back on, the two tabs on the AC compressor completely break off
Took the truck to a shop, they depressurize/repressurized the system (R1034A) so i could replaced the AC compressor and put the connector back on the new compressor
now when i try to turn on my air, i get a faint hissing noise from each setting (defrost, etc.) that slowly fades as i change them
no AC, no heater works. the shop told me i had 1.1lbs in the system, and they replaced 1.1 lbs
I then replaced fuses that related to AC/heat, the blower motor, and a relay. i have a new resistor im going to throw on today as well.
i think this might be an electrical issue, since im not getting the defroster to work or any settings of the fan
After i do that, i was planning on taking back to the shop to get closer to 2.5 lbs of pressure in the system (R134A)

any ideas where to look next?

Is the hissing from under the dash? That could be the vacuum actuated blendors.
hissing sounds like its coming from the vents. as i move the setting from ac to heat to defrost, i can hear different levels of hissing. faster to slower

Look for the vacuum hoses under the dash. You’ll have one that comes in from the engine compartment and leads to the controls, from there multiple hoses lead down the hvac box where the vacuum actuators are located.

The hissing noise is most likely a vacuum leak.

When the engine is running? Does the hissing stop? The "valves in the ducts" aka blendors are vacuum-actuated, and moving from AC to heat to defrost will trigger these. That's normal. Unless of course there's a leak in the vacuum lines.

Do you have a vidya of this phenomenon?

ill get one in a bit

where might i find that?
If you have the engine running and the A/C compressor clutch is engaged, the center part turns with the pulley that the belt is on.
If it's engaged in all positions of the control panel, you have a switch problem. And being low on refrigerant can cause a hissing noise , mostly behind the passenger side of the dash.

You probably have a vacuum leak, from what you are saying now.
