This is a relay from AC equipped truck. It has 5 pins. The two on the ends are 10 or 12 guage, the two across the middle are 16 ga orange (switched) and 16 ga black (ground). The 5th is 16 ga blue and I'm trying to find out what it's purpose is.

On a regular relay it should have power when the relay is de-energized. It doesn't seem to work that way, or else that pin is bad.

I can't find any wiring diagram that has this relay, in either my Haynes or Chilton manual.

AC relay

Yeah thats the relay that goes into the fan .. I have had to do work on it .. Im looking for the Ac clutch power relay . After replacing the switch in the dash I still have voltage to the ac in all positions

Odds are its like this schematic. Most relays are fairly standard these days. It sounds like a standard Single Pole Double Throw relay. Or SPDT.

The pattern is not the same, but the pins do the same thing. If you do not have power when the relay is off, something is wrong if its the same relay.

If all else fails, prise the tabs back and pull the case off. Then you can see what is what.
Post a pic if its unusual.
