Got a question y'all! My accelerator cable is really stiff. I'm talkin stiff like if they didn't make me do squats at football, I wouldn't be able to drive my truck. I can't figure out what it could be. If y'all have any ideas that might help it, please let me know.

I can't really say without some more details, but I can say STOP driving it until you figure it out! The last thing you need is for it to stick open and cause a wreck!

Have you changed anything recently that might have affected its operation?

I havent done anything to it - ever. its been like that since i bought it. it doesnt stick or anything, its just really stiff. u think if i just try and put some grease or something on it it might help?

It might be something as simple as someone putting too stiff of a return spring on the throttle body.

Had the same problem on an 88 f*rd, I just shot a bunch of wd40 down the cable toward the pedal amd worked it in pretty good. I would recommend replacing it if it caused by rust though.

Thanks y'all! I think I'm gonna try to lube it up and hope that helps. Otherwise I'll just replace the thing.
