So i got hit today pulling out of a gas station... pretty much totalled a Dodge neon but now i got some problems... **** hit right up front on the frame and went under the bumper (Like right in front of the tire). It bent the front spring mount up, what should i do to fix that? it might have bent the frame havent had a chance to look yet... I know thats a bad spot for frame cracking im gonna look for that too.. Should I check motor mounts and trans mounts too?

Take it to a shop and get a full estimate. Have them check everything!

Your fault or no?

Second on the shop...

Since it is an older vehicle don't just take it to any shop. I would check with a couple of local 4 wheel drive shops. I am an estimator at a shop and can tell you most people either won't know what they are looking for or it is so old they won't work on it. Do some homework and find the right shop to take it to. Don't let the insurance company rip you off, they won't know what they are looking at either.

That gives you an idea of what happened... I'm not going through insurance so we are taking it to a local shop that works on all of are stuff.

Wow! Thats the first time I've ever seen a frame horn bent like that.

Was the truck hit from the side or at an angle? If at an angle, I'd get the frame checked to make sure it didn't "diamond" it. If it did, you'd be better off finding a good, straight virgin frame.

frame rail bent like that. you BEST go threw there company or make DAM sure thay got the money to cover it if it was there fault.

no chit! that stuff isnt easy, or cheap to fix, if it can even be fixed at all. and let me tell you, if its "not fixable" a frame swap is VERY time consuming.

Well if he was pulling out of a station and was struck on the side. In Ohio that would be his fault because he failed to yeild right of way.

ya i am dreading the body swap waiting for me at the farm were i work on my beater truck. and snow is just around the bend in this area. and i need to get it done and mount the plow yet. :eek1: :doah:

mine needs to be drug across town, stripped of its exhaust, new trans lines installed, and new exhaust installed. my plow still works though. :D
