So I figured i would go ahead and let everyone know what i was working on. I finally got some pics. This all started as a motor swap. I burned up my stock 350 and was in the process of pulling it to replace with a 383 and one thing lead to another. Well you all know what happened, I think i'll fix this and upgrade that and so on and so forth.

This is after the motor, front clip and bed were pulled off.

The rear of the frame was a little rough so i decided to send it to be sand blasted and painted

I Then pulled the cab and gutted it so i can eventually send it to the body shop.

Does anyone have any insight on how i should strip this cab? Not sure whether i should use chemical, DA, or soda blast.

Here are some pics of the bed that came off. Did some horse trading with a budy of mine and he ended up with the bed installed on his truck. I'm gonna build a nicer and stouter one to replace it.

Last weekend i pulled the running gear out from under the frame and sent it all to get sand blasted and painted with Chassis Saver. Hope it will hold up to everything i have read.

I am supposed to pick up this stuff this weekend. The guy called and said he was finished with it but i am working graveyards and not wure if I'll have the time to pick it up. Also this evening Brown Santa dropped some stuff off at the house. It was my lift springs and new front spindles. Hopefully i can start getting the axles bolted back up this next week.

cool start and welcome
take ur time, money coming in isn't a bad thing, even if it means grave shift duty
let us know how things go!

One project always leads to another. Any thoughts on color scheme?

As far as color scheme goes i'm gonna probably go with a silver cab and black bed because of living down such a long gravel road it would be hard to keep clean much any other color. And for the bed being black, well i dont think a flat bed would look very good any other color than that. The axles a corp 14bff and a corp 10 bolt front end. Im gonna keep the 10 bolt just because it has lasted 25 years already so i think if i beef it up a little it will last another 25 to 30. Its not like they will be really stresses doing alot of rock climbing around here in the gumbo.

Well I have been a little busy between work and the truck as well as numerous other things but i do have a few updates for everyone. I got the frame back from the painter and he did an ok job on it and the axles.
