From Cyberweld FB page. This guy is lucky to be alive!

had an acetylene bottle in my truck, the valve was bumped so slightly and overnight the truck filled with the gas. noticed the smell, and opened the doors to air out the truck. drove the truck out of the garage to get some more air movement. I went to roll the pass side window down and as soon as I touched the power windows. BAM - with me in the truck. I lost all hearing out of my right ear and got a scratch on the back of my head. All things considering, I'm alive.

I guess he thought all of those big warning signs at every gas supply house I've ever been to saying don't ever load tanks into an enclosed vehicle were just for decoration. He is really lucky to be alive.

When I saw the title I thought the tank exploded in a collision, then I saw the acetylene exploded inside the vehicle after leaking from the tank, still pretty bad, but at least he's alive. If the tank would of exploded there would probably be more shrapnel and he would of been dead.

Holy Cow, that is Really scary to think about.

Everyone should know not to have flammable gas tanks in a vehicle  :D

This story reminds me of one I heard on the radio a few weeks ago about a guy who suspected someone one of putting sugar in his girlfriends fuel tank. Decided to syphon the fuel out using a leaf blower. Needless to say, as soon as the fuel vapor combined with the spark from the blower motor the car exploded and the poor idiot walked away with burnt arm hair.

And just so I dont interupt, Pad:D

I thought EVERYONE knew that you NEVER touch anything that could create a spark or static electricity when there is the smell of any kind of gas.

Holy S***!!! He is so lucky to be alive right now. Probably would have been worse if he was still in his garage. Thank god he wasn't, probably would have blown up his family too. All I want to say is what an idiot, but then again I dont want to judge the guy. We all make really dump decisions in our lives at some point, sometimes they kill us, sometimes they dont.
