need to do a little work on my wife honda, and was thinking, i have used muriatic (sp) acid to cleen ruas marks off concret, and strip rust odd small steel things (driver bits ect) could it be used to eat out serface rust befor body work?

i think it will gunna try it but any one elce done it hurd of it?

It will cut it, slowly.. Very slowly... It also WILL eat steel, so be aware... It's best to be able to soak the part or keep it saturated..

Hydrochloric is the prefered acid for eating rust.. Nasty stuff, be careful...

Your far better off just grinding the he!! out of it with a 4 1/2" angle grinder..Then maybe a little spotblaster for pits if that didn't get it all...

yeah it will eat steel but i would dump bace on it (baking soda and water) to nutralize the acid.

yeah just an idea.

thank for the sounding board brother.
