So I located this K5 a couple weeks ago at this goofy chicks house. She called it "This old Blazer thing". Body looked strait and the glass was all good. I asked if it was for sale and she just wasnt sure. While I was looking it had some nice aluminum rims along with some nice 33's and 6.2 diesel badges along with Silverado badges. One drawback was it was full of black trash bags. So I gambled and still made the offer. Well she called yesterday and said I could just have it. So I went and got it this morning. Lucked out, the trash bags were just full of old clothes, which are on the burn pile right now. Motor looks compleat, but I have yet to see if the battery's will charge. It's an 84 by the way and the wife gets it seeing as I told her I would find her a later model after we had to sale her 71 last April. So specs are as follows.... 6.2/700R4/NP208/10 bolts with unknown gear ratio. Pics to follow when I get back to my pc, but it can be seen on my facebook page. Free is good!!

:deal: , Congrats man. IIRC the difs are more than likely 3.08? Dont qoute me on that though.

The build sheet on the inner finder well just says standard axle. So based on that I'm assuming 3.08's. Not that it really matter cause I aint focking with it. Well other than the request for some homo ghey black/purple paint job.

I'm so stoked to have a K5 again...and Corey, black with metallic purple is not homo gay...it's gonna fockin rock!! Just wait! It could be worse, lucky I'm not into sissy pink :-P

Go highliter pink and dark purple for that classy 80s look :D

Great score. Def need pics!!!:thumb:

I will be real honest, while I am not a fan of the purple, it really isn't a bad color combination.

Nice score you two.

Could be 3.08's or 3.42's. '84 was still when GM was trying to squeeze as much mpg out of them as possible so the 3.08's are likely.

Might even have the towing package and 3.73's like mine.

I used to have a Camaro just like that. Black with purple side skirts on a z28 was stock in 84, but instead of purple stripes on the side someone had added stick on purple flames. I miss that car.

Jason that Camaro really brings the ghey.... I'll try to talk her into just black. She can wear like a purple sweater or something. Thank God no one sells purple shock boots anymore. I guess it's what I get for marring a Puerto Rican.

Now come on, seriously, wouldn't it look bad ass like the purple on the new Challenger.

Oh and NO purple shocks :doah:I'm not that bad.

Get any story on why it was sitting there?
Not yet. This chick was as goofy as a pet coon, she claimed it was a 90 or 91 model. If it has any major issues like a bad tranny or something of that nature I'll just wheel and deal and come up with a replacement. My string of luck has been very good lately as far as parts go. I scored a set brand new set of 31" Kuhmo mud terrains, rims and a 3" Rusty's lift for our ZJ. Total cost so far is $100. Not to mention the free K30 I got here while back.:D
