Picked up a 85 Yama Hammer 225 DX today. Its in fair shape, needs a bit of work. But runs great, plastic/seat is decent. And it goes like stink. This is the first trike Ive owned/ridden that has rear suspension, and all I can say is it is extremely nice. On with the pic's:

Theres something about trikes that just seems beastly... like you don't wanna mess with them. Looks like fun

Ya I know what ya mean. Takes more skill to ride one, which I find more entertaining than a quad.

What do you think about the Honda Big Red trikes? There was a really nice mint original one here for sale a few months ago that I thought really hard about buying. My uncle used to have one just like it.

i LOVE the trikes. i have had 4 atc's over the years. my uncle had a big red when i was a kid. very fun.

that looks like a nice one too btw:waytogo:

Update, took it back home over the weekend. Started going over it, turns out the rear hubs were loose on both wheels. Tightened the one side up 2 turns, I wonder how the PO managed to change the hubs, install them loose and put the cotter key in with out noticing? :haha:

Also got a old slip on muffler off my dads old street bike that appears it'll fit with a lil modification:woot:

I have a 85 Honda ATC 350X, and a 85 Honda ATC 250R. Both trikes are lots of fun to ride, but I don't hardly ride them much any more since I have a 09 Harley StreetBob to ride during the warm weather months.

I've been riding trikes and quads since '81, and it was motorcross and enduro bikes before that.

Pic's of said pipe:

Sounds rad :woot:, only cost me a couple hours and some adapters and a bit of welding vs $200 for a DG pipe off ebay.

Gave it a good once over a while back and have conclude the drain plug for the rear diff was stripped. Have to weld a allen wrench into the bung. And needs front shoes/brake cable.

Also being someone swapped on YTM 200 hubs and 25" tires, it needs a different front tire. Think I may step up to a 23" tire up front vs the 22" to help even things out a bit.
