I'm looking to add some gauges to my truck. I would like oil pressure, and coolant temperature. I'm also going to be replacing my voltmeter which has stopped working. I having been looking at Saturn Surplus which has a selection of gauges and sending units. I would like to use the old military stock if possible to keep with the look of my truck as opposed to the sunpros etc.

I don't know if this is feasible on the 6.2s. If anyone has mounted sending units in their trucks I am curious to know what locations you used.

my 90 'burb has factory gauges, so the ports are there for them.

I have a full gauge set from a civvy diesel, and I would buy new senders if I were you.

I'm not looking to put them in the dash. All my spots are full already. I'm going to hopefully make a panel.

That's interesting. I didn't know that. Why is that?

The gen one and gen two lights are part of the sysyem to start it. If the bulbs are taken oit of the gauges it wont start. There is a bunch of info about it on steel soldiers.
