Can someone explain to me (in dummy terms) how to adjust the main and secondary jets on an Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm carb? I have the idle mixture screws set perfectly and it idles great. However, I do not understand how to adjust the main & secondary jets. Are they adjustable? If so, how? This is a new carb, and I do not want to replace them.

Can't really adjust them but they are easily replaced. Edelbrock sells a kit and in their installation instructions on their website or with the new carb you just bought it outlines how to calibrate it. Very easy, take the airhorn off and replace reinstall airhorn and your done:D

If you don't want to buy the whole kit, call their tech support, supply engine info and elevation and they can get you close.

Yeah, the jets aren't adjustable. There are metering rods that control the flow of fuel through the jets, these are available by themselves or in the cal kit. There are also different sized jets too. Edelbrock's website can help, and all parts are available through Summit. Edelbrock/Carter carbs are stupid simple. Good luck.
