Going crossover -- and going crazy 
-- so I swapped sector shafts, the 2WD into my 4WD box. I don't know if the donor was variable ratio like my box, but it fit, fwiw.
Since I didn't take the box off, I did the adjustment with the arm off, but the steering column/rag joint ON. I notice the sector shaft writeup talks about turning the box with the column OFF, at the ragjoint.
Would the column not transmit enough of the feel that it would make a difference -- I note that the damn thing is still weird -- or am I having other issues?
