Adjusting the torsion bars

Do I need to put the front on jackstands? or is it OK to keep the weight of the vehicle on the torsion bars while I adjust them? looking for an inch or two to level out an otherwise stock truck..

Nope. Just turn them a little at a time.

Then go get an alignment

Turn them a little bit, then get on front bumper and bounce up and down to let it settle.....then turn them farther.
