advance on a BBC?

I have a stock 454 in my C30 dually and it currently has about 16 degrees of advance. How much advance do you guys recommend/run? I have my 406 in my blazer set at about 12 degrees but don't know if a BB is the same. thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

My 454 was running like crap not long ago and got it on a timing gun to find out it was about 13 degrees off. Took it back down to around 6 degrees and it ran much better. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
