What’s the cost to re-chrome them? I’ve heard the newer bumpers are thinner and I recently sold a bumper to a guy that was complaining about this.

from what i hear its min 2x to re-chrome old . . . but guys who do are much more happy with end product / results .

A guy at work bought an aftermarket "chrome" bumper for a 79 and it was no where near the quality of the same bumper that I just pulled off of my 76. The weight was right close to 2:1 for the same rear bumper.

My 2 cents? Rechrome what you have.
