I got a DIY4X dash for my new project so I am going to make the jump to aftermarket gauges. What is out there that is affordable and a decent gauge. Just looking for the basics. Temp, Oil, Batt, Tach, and maybe a speedo.

This is for the trail rig so basic, but functional.

I did all sport - comp Autometer in my '70.
The vacuum gauge has crapped out in less than 40K miles, but the rest are all still good.
I have used just a couple of Intellitronix digital gauges. They seem to be decent.

Did you check the source?

Of the vacuum gauge?

The engine runs great still, but the gauge doesn't go up to where it used to, and it doesn't go to 0 with the engine off...
And I believe that I remember checking with another gauge....

i would love to have Autometer pro comps as well, but until the budget allows, i went with Autometer's autogauge line for my latest temp gauge. Seems ok/decent quality to get the job done at least.

Speaking of Intellitronix, i've also used/use Cyberdyne digital gauges, which appear to be the same (?) as Intellitronix (just branded differently?). And yes, they same to be decent.

yeah, I'll run sport comps and such here and there, Mutt has a few for now..... we run ton's of Faria, SW, etc in the boats... just haven't come across a project yet i wanted to run digital.. my 92 is a good candidate, other than being a cheap DD'er..

my statement was more a stylistic "I hate no sidewall and whiteface gauges" societal statement.. ;)
