Well,
Heck, 4 years later and no closer. I have done all most all the work my self, rebuilding adding, fitting anf removing etc. One thing i do not do is exhaust, and bumpers. so I run to DMV get the ever so great 10 day temp tag. Drive it to the exhaust shop wow big block no exhaust load as all heck, drive it back carb runs like crud off of the line.
Next day mess with carb get it running better, out the garage I go...guess this is were I'm lucky. two trips around the block, carb still a little off go to back it in the garage. I have to do a two point back in due to alley way. get it in and shift to D (th400) no go, 2nd no go, 1st no go....what the heck? no forward gears...
push it out put it in reverse and back it in...guess my blazer was having separation issues with leaving the garage after 4 years.
Mind you.... I rebuilt the trans my first auto rebuild. Just had to get this off my chest, this is the first one I have built that had such a big issue coming out of the gate. I have done two jeeps, early bronco and now a blazer...by far this one has fought me the most
