I put Vintage Air in my '70 back in the late nineties. I took it out in 2012.
The A/C worked fairly well , and that's about all that I liked.
I didn't like the fitment of how the coolant and freon lines came into the cab. You had to do the connections under the dash.
The brackets for the compressor made a bolt rub the back of the power steering reservoir, until I fixed them...
I didn't care for some of the details in the wiring, but my buddy fixed that.
I didn't care for the noise from the blower being inside the cab, and there was not a big difference in the blower speeds.
My biggest complaint was that it was recirculate only which made it almost impossible to keep the windows from fogging over in a rain storm, or in the winter. There was a thermostat under the case to adjust for winter and summer, but I still didn't have heat when I used dehumidified defrost. Keep in mind that I have driven that truck in single digit temps, and I knew what a factory system could do for heat, which is cook you!!!
So I don't know what year truck you have, and also what they may have done for improvements, but I won't ever buy another system like that for a street truck.
