anyone running a flaming river or ididit steering colum insteed of a factory colum? my buddy is a flaming river dealer through his streetrod shop, so i can get a realy good deal on one. would a stock one be easier to use? my colum in the blazer is junk so i need to replace it anyways. plus with a full cage i will make a custom mount also. i was also going to go with the universal joint steering shaft to the box.

I will be replacing my column as well, when I rebuild my rig starting the end of this year.

So, I was waiting to hear some opinions as well. I have done zero research on this so far.

They both have good products. I'm running a Billet Specialties tilt polished aluminum column in my '56. It works well and is nice and tight. It's not too hard to rebuild the factory columns if you take your time. I had to buy a new one because I didn't have a column in the truck when I started the build.
