I put the steering pump and gear from my old mooshed 87 into my 81, new fluid, everything tight, no leaks. Now when I make right hand turns, sometimes, it dies out like there's no fuel getting to the motor.
Could there be alot of strain on the whole thing somehow? I have to stop near the curb, put it in park, and restart it. Oddly left hand turns I have no problems (knock on wood). Before there was no problems of course, except for the leaky worn steering gear. Should I spring for a remanned steering gear from Checkers or something? I've run out of ideas here.
