aftermarket BS on k5

can i run a wheel with 4.5" of backspacing on my 88 k5?
Or do i need something else like a 4" Backspace?

Deoends on what sixe tires you have, but I've always run 2.5inch backspacing.

i mean as far as hitting the tie rods .... I heard some bs wont work and just wanted to know
