My latch and lock assembly just bound up so the doors would not lock or unlock while latched. LMC doors. They worked fine for about 2 weeks then just stopped. I got new latches from GM but the same problem happened.

Before I removed the doors...mine got stuck from time to time...
I couldn't get out of the truck with out rolling the window down...
and pushing the outside door handle button...

On some aftermarket doors..
The location of the inside door handle...can be off enough...
that the linkage won't left latch assembly hit HOME like it needs to be..

Also...check the linkage...oil the return spring on the latch mechanism...
they rust up...casuing problems too.

Good Luck!!! :cool1:

Thanks, bought new latch assemblys from Chevy yesterday and still no luck. Went to my local Chevy dealer this AM and they are gonna try to figure it out for me. Tired of messing w/ it and don't want to beat in my new doors.

Problem Solved

It had nothing to do with the doors, the aftermarket outer door handles were messed up where the rod connected. GM outer door handles problem solved.

i have the same problem not with the doors i have and they are made of thin sheet metal and my door panels dont even match up to the factory holes
