aftermarket fuel gage and sender set up?

does anyone know of where or who makes a aftermarket fuel gage and sender set up, my stock one is shot and i can't get it to work. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif i have tried to run the wire from the tank to the harness and the gage is still dead unless i just did not have the right wire under the dash hooked up. anyone have any clues which one it may be? 75 k5 /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Autometer makes the set up, BUT give us more detail. Where is the needle? What happened before this happened? Any other pertenant info you can give us?

On the back of the gauge cluster there is a bulkhead connector, the fuel gauge takes 3 wires, Pink is the sending unit wire, Pink with black tracer is 12v postive ignition to gauges, Black is ground
