Does anyone make an aftermarket shifter for the NP241 / NP208 that works similar to the shifter on the NP205 or NP203? I need something that sticks straight up through the floor and has a very small boot on it to work with my NV4500's shifter boot. The stock shifter assembly is too big and bulky, its either a shifter boot for the NV4500, or the NP241 shifter assembly. I'd need something that bolts to the transfer case, or to the 6 bolt round adapter, and that does not need any additional support from the cab of the truck.

I'm getting sick of crawling down under my truck to shift it into 4x4 :D

just make one yourself from a 205 shifter.:D

hehe, I would if I could! You'd honestly laugh and honestly wonder how I managed to install a turbocharged 6.2L / NV4500 / NP241 into my old 1980 pickup if you were to see my best fabrication skills :D

You might want to check Novak. They make one for the NP 231 which bolts to the T-case and can probably be adapted. You might also check into a Jeep YJ shift boot - it has both boots in 1 package. I do not know if it will work, but might be worth looking into.

I've got a shifter assembly from an 04 K2500, but like the 88-99 trucks, the shifter is on the wrong side of the hump... I'd have to fabricate some sort of cable shifter system. That, and the floor hump contour is different between the three body styles =/

here is mine
