So, I finally got my parts to put a 91 quad lamp setup on my 84 K2500. The rad support I got has some rust where the center vertical and horizontal piece's meet. Most supports I looked at from the North East were far worsee then this one.
Anyways my question is about the aftermarket ones. Are they as bad as the local opinion make them out to be? I'm told not only are the new ones ill fitting, they are flimsy compared to the OEM.
So before I start welding in a patch panel or 2 is it worth considering the aftermarket one?

Thanks!

click my 2 wheel burn link below .

i fixed mine in the same spots with old core support for donor sections .

was not to bad a job . and aftermarkets i have seen seem to be just not right in a few key spots .

I'll probably just make up and weld in some flat stock from work. Might not be very pretty but who is going to see it?

Don't see a link in your post

I would just fix it.

LOL
I know a lot of people don't like the POR encapsulated products. I have used their stuff in the past but this time I tried something "similar".
I used a product that was Called chassis saver. Can't say I'm happy with it. Unlike POR it reacted to the prep so in a couple of spots.

Eh.... it's just a support I guess.
