I used Dart SR (stock replacement) heads on a 383 TBI and didn't have any problems at all. I was trying to stay conservative with my engine build at the time, so that I could pass CA emissions. With my next engine build I plan on using aluminum Air Flow Research heads. I'm not worried about the CA emissions any longer because I now have a diesel VIN.

are they stock replacements for the TBI heads? i guess there is some angle change on the factory TBI heads for the manifold bolts or something. i am going to buy new heads anyway, so i would rather not modify the manifold to work with older heads.

I believe the World Product heads can be had with either style intake mount. Many of the aftermarket heads offer this provision....
