So the Air Bag light went on and I scanned it..

It says Air Bag sensor 2

anyone know which one this is?

It is a 2005 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3L vin Z with an 4L60E

probably passenger side, meh, leave it :)

Also, my mom's 99 infinity threw an airbag light @120k. It was part of Infinity's "drive in and have the system checked by a certified dealership to make sure it's all working good" scheme.

I cant just leave it.. I have to fix it for inspection... its failable

A friend of mine went batty trying to get the air bag light to shut off on a VW jetta not long ago...another tech at a dealer told him many vehicles also have the seat belts incorperated into the air bag light curcuit (not sure if GM's do)..he "fixed" it by replacing the seat belt retactor mechanism on the passenger side, that had sensor wires coming out of it..the tech said dirt and crud gets in the thing and will set off the air bag lamp!..the car had been at 3 other shops that couldn't find the trouble too...

The sensor #2 tells me its passenger side, but note that my truck has automatic airbags too (not key switched), so would it be the weight sensor on the seat or or the seat belt mechanism

The main collision sensors are on the front on the cross piece under the radiator if I remember right.
If its a seat sensor, try moving the seat back or forward. Most times that will get the light out for a while and let you know that is where the problem it.
