Anybody ever rebuilt a set of these? mine leak and have discharged the nitrogen. I can't seem to find how much oil it takes.

I currently have a set of 2.0 fox's with a 3 inch shaft length. I want to shorten them to a 2.0 or maybe 2.5 The fox chart says for a 2.5 to use 100cc's of oil for a 3 or 4 inch bump it calls for 125cc's. Does anyone know how this formula works?

That does shorten the stroke, but my understanding is that it's not the right way to do it. I know sway a way and Bilstein do not recommend shortening that way. They are designed to work at the length of the tube. Maybe the others are ok to do that with.

Interesting, guess I need to do more research and reading.

Why is it hard to find this info? Is it really uncommon for the average person to rebuild their own shocks?

King 2" bumps and 4" bumps are the same can just different length spacers inside. We shortened mine years ago with the internal spacers.

I can't help on the oil amount as I think at the time King told us how much. Did you try calling Fox, you can check at ORD because their doing stuff with Fox now too.

Did you change the valving to slow them down?

I have thought about this, I bought these used and have no idea what they are inside. Although I'm sure they are just the standard off the shelf items and will be fine.

Thanks Brandon, I'll have to give them a call. Didn't think about it and didn't really want to bother them much sense I didn't purchase from them.

Ask for Chris...He loves taking random tech phone calls...can you do any foreign accents?
