Hi all just bought a chevy born 7/97 on dr jam and title. We were looking over A OEM air cleaner cover. The cover said blash blah blah and this air cleaner meets all standards for yr 2000 trks.My question is.Do all the late 90's trks say 2000 on the air cleaners or has the one on my trk been chgd
Thanks

The 99 outside here has the sticker on the radiator top hold down panel . My Filter housing just says replace with the correct number AC filter .

I have a second setup at home on a shelf from a 97 Vortec , that one I think has the sticker on it , will check when I go home tonight .

Maybe its different from Pickups to Subs , but the front doors forward I thought would be the same .

It's the emissions sticker for a 2000 model year truck. It's stupid that they put them on easily removable items these days:rolleyes:

SO since my trks a 97.Its not the original box. That was born with my trk ???

Yup , the one in the garage has the sticker on it . Want it , pay shipping and you can have a 97 one again .

And I knew it was the emissions sticker . I was mostly curious as to why the label was in different spots from year to year . My airbox does have the exact same size spot for it , but mine is on the radiator hold down . Must be an assembly line thing . As far back as I remember there were differences in how the hired help did things in different areas of the country , its documented on most A/F/B body websites , the differences , albeit slight , from different plants .

Pickups changed in 99 , but not the Suburbans which I have with the 98 body style . I wonder if the box was the same from the 90's pickup body to the early 2000's pickup body

Lets think about this for a minute, it is impossible to have a factory part on your rig that is NEWER than your rig, BUT it is perfectly possible to have an OLDER part on a newer rig.

Also, emissions decals ARE year specific.
