My shop air compressor hose touched the motor while it was hot and now has a leak. Can you do a slice repair on air hoses? I don't think so since I have never seen it done, but thought I would ask.
Yep you can get male to male barbs designed for this exact situation. Any hardware store will have them.
My local hardware store has them with the air compressors as well as in the plumbing section so look in both sections if you can't find it.
The ones with the plastic rings are supposedly designed to be used without hose clamps but I've never had any luck with that (in a 150psi system) so grab some hose clamps while you're there....
If you couldn't tell we break a lot of hoses at the shop I work at... I splice them together a couple times a week it seems like since everyone likes to run them over with the forklift, drop stuff on them or light them on fire.
