Can I get some suggestions on the best air filter for air flow.
PS. not a fan of K&N, or Fram.

There's an older engine masters episode where they test every air filter ever including the top cover filters. It might be worth the watch.
Personally I prefer extra filtration, and I run a pre-cleaner around my open element which is a Summit generic reusable type, 12x6.
The general consensus though is cold air is the best, if you could set up a factory style intake system with the tube you'd be in good shape.
I've even seen a double tube set up on the @Bent77 K10.

The easiest way to get more airflow is to run a bigger filter. In your build thread you show a short open-element setup. The easiest fix is to find the factory tall air cleaner housing and snorkel. This gets you more than twice the filter area and moves from hot air to cold. I think this is what @cheavyk10 is suggesting.

I have a supply of old stock AC Delco air filters that I'm using. I don't know if it is the best for air flow but it works. I also have some old stock AC Delco Pf35 oil filters. These I would not use as the oil filters from wix are much better IMHO.

I am currently running Wix air filters. Stock air cleaner assembly. I too am not a fan of the clean and oil K&N type.
