I just put on a new edelbrock #1406 carb, and I am wondering how i would go about setting the air fuel mixture. I know that I jsut turn those two screws on the front of the carb, of course, but what does that mean. Do I turn them in or out for leaner or richer? Any suggestions or help would be great. Thanks.

Turning them out, adds more air, to the fuel mixture, turning them in removes air from the mixture,

out = lean
in = rich

adjust your fuel supply with a rejet kit.

I usually turned mine in until the engine idle would just start to slow down, then back them out like a half turn or so.

Has always worked for me just fine.
