Air/Fuel ratio gauge?

I think there is a DIY-wideband project, no idea how far that got. Might b some info over at thirdgen.org or diy-efi.com(?)

Just thought I would give a little update on this. I've done some looking on the web and found this site that discusses tuning a carb with an A/F guage and vacuum gage.
Carburetor Tuning the Scientific Way

You have to scroll down a ways.

I know it is about Holleys, but the information is still useful for any carb.

It has a chart that will tell you how to use an O2 sensor with only a voltmeter and no gage.

It also talks about using or not using the heated O2 sensors.

Very interesting reading.

OK I have found some info on this subject. You need a wideband O2 sensor. Regular O2 sensors are only good right around 14.7 so these will not work for any tuning. You also have to have a controller that you can build (cheap) or buy (for a lot of money) and a way of seeing the results. Their are several different displays, you can use a narrow band gauge (autometer's, summit's, ect) and a converter box or a wideband gauge. Here are links to several info sites.

Hope this helps anyone who is willing to read these sites. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
