Anyone every install one of the Air Ride suspension systems. I have a 85 K5 Blazer that rides like a tank and I want to make it a little more pleasant to drive in. looking for the best one out there and relatively simply installation.

It has a 3 inch body lift on it now, but am in the process of removing that and looking at the 3 inch suspension. I am not going to do any more until I figure out if the Air Ride is the way I want to go. But I need something to soften the ride up.

More than likely you're riding on old clapped out suspension if it's all stock. Upgrade the suspension you have with some TC springs & bilstein shocks.

I don't get the air ride idea, that would be a ton of work/money and in the end you're much better off with coilovers.

So I have replaced the shocks and new lift springs.

Disconnect the front shocks and take it for a drive.

If you can't feel any difference, the springs are too stiff.

Just because the springs are "new" doesn't mean they are going to ride well.... Rough Country and other low-end brands have very high spring rates and ride like crap.

I will second that. Off the shelf springs suck. I hated my Tuff Country E-z ride springs. ORD specs built by Alcan are the way to go if you don't go air or coil over. Keeping the leaf springs is easier, though.
