okay so i have been running airsoft pellets in my 35" MTR's for a year or so now, been real happy w/ them. the problem is within the last week i have had 2 vavle stems start to leak. the stems were both loose fitting in the rim, like they had been damaged from the inside. i am wondering if anyone else has had this problem w/ airsoft pellets, or if it is just a co-incedence(splg) that both vavle stems went bad. never had one go bad before on any rig. also i didn't put new stems in when i had the tires mounted. don't know how old the stems are cause they were in the rims when i got them. they are alum. wheels.

any thoughts?

I put air pellets in my tires in like may or june of last year and have had no problems... but I put new valve stems in at the same time... don't know if that has anything to do with it.

i would like to think that the vavle stems went bad due to age, but it is odd that i lost 2 in one week. i dunno

ok i have never heard of doing this, whats the deal? Why would you put airsoft pelets in your tires?

to dynamicly balance them. seriously try seaching there is a ton of info on airsoft pellets, steel shot & golf balls.

works on the same princable as equal.(for balance big truck tires)

how many pellets would you put in a 38.5 and does it make a big difference?????

About 9-11oz of the heavy ones. I have ran them in my MTR's for 2 years with no problems. Hardly even touched the rattle can finish on the rim and no problems with the tire. No valve issues. I would think more of a bad batch issue on the valves. I work in a tire shop so I get to keep a pretty close eye on my tires.

I've had mine for over 2 years now and no problems with tires or stems
