Anyone made air tanks out of two step bars? I wounder if it would be enough to air up a tire.

I would do a 'roll bar' if anything.

It doesn't explode. There isn't much volume in there. It'll just burp out the air.
I have a friend that uses his front tube bumper for a tank with his York and of works fine. I would only do it with .120" wall or thicker though.
yup, stuff like that ruptures, not explodes like a grenade...
