Want to add remote start to an alarm. To those that have done it, is it difficult?
i am going to do it eventually. I will get wiring diagram and the kit.
Just curious if i am in for a pain in the ass or is it not to bad?

this is the remote start i am adding to my system

If you are good with 12v wiring, it’s doable. But lots of time under the dash.

Make quality connections, however you interpret that. I’m a crimp, heat shrink and zip tie guy, but mainly cause I suck at soldering. Having issues later will suck.

I did mine years ago, and still love it.

Keyless entry alone really brought my 91 into the next generation.

Good luck.

i planed on pulling the driver seat and soldering the connections.
Have had issues in the past with other installers connectors coming lose.
Sucks in the 7-11 parking lot looking for what went wrong
thanks for the reply

Pulling seat in a k5 is a great idea. Suburban has a silly hump underneath, but still would have helped.
