OK so looky what I came across! It still has the NEW sound when you close the doors. All the original papers in glove box. Factory hose clamps this thing is just like it was in a time capsule. It has a confirmed mileage from the Mayor of White Bird, Idaho. Man if I had the money you can eat off the underside.

It looks nice but me personnally I would not spend $10 grand for a near 30 year old 4x4. I'll spend 3-5 G's and rock it.

That is a steal for 10 grand, course that low of miles it needs alot of stuff gone through and replaced. Like seals and hoses etc.

This thing looks like it it fresh off the dealer floor. The truck was kept inside the a climate controlled building and when they would use it it got washed after each run. It looks like all hoses and belts are good. Tires show no dry rot. Sounds like new when you start it no smoke or leaks. Was taken out of service in December 2006 the town sold it.

The Warn hubs turn easy.

Look at the under side of the hood.

The spare well has no rust and the tire has the little rubber tips.

Look even the tag on the door is like new.

rare single seat option too. not sure how rare that is in the older rigs, I've only ever seen it once in a Burb and that was the one I owned.

I might be scared to see under a valve cover really. Short trips, lots of storage, climate controlled storage is all that might have saved it.

One hell of a find for certain.

I thought they stopped using that grill in 76? I am rusty on my differentiation of the years, but I swore 76 was the last year for that grille, and 77-79 had the much uglier(my opinion) grill that incorporated the turn signals.

Yea the email is from the towns mayor stating it was right mileage and it was their EMS truck.

All the EMS trucks in Idaho had that green stripe, It seems to me that the ems burb in my small town was exactly the same as that one. Mabey Idaho bought a whole bunch in 78. Our towns was a 78 too and I know one other small town that had a 78 ems burb

BTDT. Mine looked like it just rolled out of the factory when I bought it. Great thing is that you know that there are very few problems with a truck like that so it makes a great starting point.
