have a 85 blazer with superlift 6", drop pitman arm, 35" tires and the alignment with a tape measure appears to be set. Ball joints and all the steering equipment is in good shape including the steering box. The Thing is almost treacherous to drive on the highway. 55 to 60 miles an hour gets to be scary crossing bridges and such. Rear end wants to walkaround and the truck is just all kinds of squirelly. Cant quite figure it out? Any Ideas??

have you done the weld in frame repair kit?... I have had them do that from the cracks in the frame at the steering gear.
gabe

Was the truck OK prior to the lift or did you just install it? Also what tires are you running? I had a 74 Dodge 4wd that came with 33" bias tires. Damn thing was scary to drive on a two lane road with grooves and bumps, you could not keep it between the lines. A new set of 33" radial tires and it was like a new truck.

toe is set at 1/4" toe in. Frame is not broke around the steering box. I bought the truck in AZ bout 3 years ago already lifted. Has 35" BFG all terrains on it

The 84 I recently picked up was squirrely somewhat and found the pitman arm off the st box loose,it would move up and down as you turned into massive wheel play.
