Anybody do their own alignment? I have had a slight pull to the right since I drove my truck out of the corn field. I put new tires on the front, didn't change, air pressure is the same, and nothing is bent underneath. Should I pay $90.00 to have it done or should I learn to do it at home?

Thoughts?

Do it yourself, the only thing you can really change is the toe and that's super easy to set.

Search under my username, I've explained how to do it a few times.

The only real adjustment to be made is the toe. That can be done in the driveway.

You've checked to make sure the brakes are not dragging on one side causing the pull?

Yea I thought that might have been why it was dragging, swapped out pads and calipers with new, did the fluid and same pull.

Caster is adjustable, just need to get offset busing for the top ball joint. Looks like they are available for 1/4 degree all the way up to 1.5 degrees. Really need to have an alignment done to see what bushing you need and that it corrects the problem. I'd also be looking for broken center pins or that the rear axle shifted. A good alignment shop will be able to tell you.

might have found the problem

Do you think this might be why it's pulling to the right? I'm so tired when I got home that I took this picture and just went inside, when I start looking at it tomorrow, where do I need to start at?

Just jack it up and grab the tire by the top and bottom and see if its moving at the ball joints and/or the wheel bearings.

Did that just before I did the front brakes less then a 1/16". Ball joints are tight with no to very little slop. What's next?

negative camber like that ina solid axle can only be a few things.....

bent axle tubes (from jumping)
blown out balljoints
bent spindle(highly unlikely)

i didnt think stock balljoints had a camber adjustment to them. I know you can buy some with it though

If the ball joints and bearings are tight, then its a bent axle tube, loose spindle nuts, bent spendle, etc. Nothing easy unfortunately.

That's what I was afraid of. Never had a gm axle apart, there all basically the same, just wasn't sure if there was something that I wasn't aware of.

Thanks
