So today was my day off. Which meant I had High hopes of getting my motor broke in....

To begin, I installed the p/s pump into brackets. Then comes the pulley...For anyone whos tried to intall P/s pump pulleys know how much this sucks. Started at 11am, got the pulley installed at 8Pm...
Granted this whole time I had gave up and fought the motor to crank over and start.
Apparenly if you don't have a ground direct from batt to motor then frame. It won't turn over...
I was using a ground from battery to frame...and forgot the rest.
When I turned the motor over, the Temp sensor wire winding would start to smoke.
Guess the block was trying to find a good ground.
So I ran a ground from batt to motor, and batt to frame, the block to cab.
Motor cranks, no compression....
Come to find out I adjusted the rocker nuts one turn too much. Which was holding the valves open and there-fore NO compression. So I back the nuts off one turn, motor starts to TRY and start. With no avail.
So, If I pump the carb and hold it open it will fire. Rev up, then slowly die. As if it's running out of fuel.
Sorry for Long ass post...i guess tomorrow I'll start with checking the valve adjustments, then play with the carb.
