All things GM Step Van

Any words of wisdom for roll up back door repairs?
Just picked up a truck {not really a step van} with a Timpte box and a Todco door.
Cables are off/no tension and the 2 bottom panels are in poor shape at the hinges and roller mounts.
Best to replace the whole door? Mill Supply prices are reasonable but shipping charges will suck.

Note: I have done a few roll up shop doors {damn near got knocked out doing the first one} and although not my favorite past time I feel qualified to handle the tension rods.

Unless it is a minor repair like one panel or a hinge, most times it's cheaper to put a new one complete.

I remove them completely and fab swing doors. Less moving parts in the future.
my buddys shop does 20+ NAME BRAND package delivery trucks fleet maintenance and the rear doors SUCK for parts availability and pricing for as much as they beat them up . the few trucks with swing doors = 90% less problems .

Hmmm.... I do have 8 or so hinge assemblies from some dry vans I scrapped years ago.
Load docks with doors are where the roll ups are needed. So it depends on the use.
Pretty much personal use of swap meets and hoard hauling when I am finally able to move out of this part of the state.
This is the truck, 5.7, 4l80.
