Allison 1000 trans fluid

OK ladies and gentlemen, quick search turned up null so what are yall using for fluid and what's the best, most readily available etc? Tanks a lot!

my master fluid spec book made by motor info systems gives

dex vi = dex-6 fluid.
capacity showing 7.4 qt . if i was a betting man thats a pan service refill spec .

info for a 01-09 2500 - 3500 vehicle .

when you service the spin on filter make sure to clean and swap over the magnet . it sticks to the filter and guys dont notice it and discard it .

dont fill more than half before starting . seen a few in the past burp a massive stream of fluid out the dipstick on start up .

That's also what I heard but I doubt this fluids ever been changed

Yikes! That's pricey. My buddy is an amsoil dealer so I'm hoping he can get me their torque drive at. Supposed same as transynd

Not for the allison, I wouldn't do that.
I have done this on a Honda put the cheap non synthetic oils because I don't care about it, but this is a big deal if you ruin the trans to save $100

I would not cheap out on my allison. We run them at work and they put Mobil Devac in them. In a fleet that cuts every corner possible.

Had my Allison in my 01 Dmax rebuilt by the Allison god, Mike at Inglewood Transmission in Los Angeles. He said nothing but Transynd.....
