Yeah, I'm floating around like a hot air baloon! Thanks for all the comments. Family, friends and even girlfriend think I'm crazy for fixing up this old truck. They just don't undrestand. It's good to hear from those who DO understand.

To answer a few questions:

Yes, I did paint it myself in my basement. We built a booth out of 6 mil. clear plastic with 2 $20 fans I got online and furnace filters from the hardware store. Dust was still a problem, but my painting wasn't that good so color sanding, rubbing compound and polishing was going to need to happen anyways.

The drive train is 454 FI, T400, 205, Dana 60 from an 89 w/ 4.10 open, Dana 70HD from an 84 w/4.10 open.

And no one has throw their panties at me yet ... maybe I need to leave the girlfriend at home the next time I go out!

Thanks again for all the positive comments. You guys got me so pumped up, I'm going to paint the dually in my avitar next.

the utility rack is even sexy!

[/ QUOTE ]

I ended up powder coating the rack. It didn't look so bad on the truck when the truck looked like hell ... but after the paint job, I had to do something with it.

Thanks,

Eric M.
